Episode 1 - The Pilot.

It's the big day.

We recorded Episode 1. The pilot episode. Here's hoping that it gets picked up.

Here's how you can listen to it = You click this link.

I'm not sure how to get a media player to work inside of Blogger, but I'm going to try to figure it out. For now, though, just click the link.

Some of the topics discussed:

  • An intro.
  • The topics you all pitched.
  • Past podcasting.
  • Boy bands breakdown.
  • Black Eyed Peasitis.
  • Middle school wardrobe
  • 90s trends.

Also, an exclusive look into our recording today:

All wired up and ready to go.

All I need is for Mike to get here. He's getting a haircut right now.

Turns out I still remember how to get all this stuff hooked up correctly.

Also, I don't really have a plan for how to host this. I'm going to try Dropbox, as long as it's not a too many gigs. If I had a plan it wouldn't be as edgy and cool.

Brace yourselves.

Tomorrow, July 26, 2012, the year of our Lord, Mike and I record the first The Delayed Reality: Brofessional Journalists. Also known as Episode 1.

Do whatever you need to to in order to prepare. Hide your kids. Make some snacks. This is going to be bad.

We're going to have a lot of room for improvement.

These are the faces of entertainment.

Because why not.

This is the website we'll be using for this project of ours.

A new podcast for a new point in my life, for sure. I've now ridden this PhD school thing for a full year without any signs of stopping. It shields me from the harsh realities of this world. Thus the name. Although Mike gets almost all of that credit.

Granted, graduate school comes with another set of problems. Weird hours. Grading. Soul-crushing pressure to get published.

So this is the cathartic response to that.

I think our plan is to tell funny stories, complain about stuff, and jabber about topics that don't matter.

Let's see if Mike and I are entertaining. I think we may be.
